Festive feasting usually includes a slow-cooked roast with all the trimmings on the menu. So, impress your family and friends by creating your own homemade gravy to complement the feast. It’s quick, easy and delicious!
- 1/4 cup D'lite Margarine
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken or beef broth
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian Herbs
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
1. In a saucepan, melt the margarine. Over a low heat, stir in the flour until all the lumps have
been removed. Stir for 2-3 minutes, then slowly add in the broth, mixing consistently.
2. Once the gravy is smooth, add in the salt, pepper, herbs and garlic. Allow to simmer for 5
minutes. If the gravy becomes too thick, add in extra stock and make the gravy to the consistency you like.
3. Serve hot with a roast.
