Lamb chop recipes will always be on the top of any South African’s favourite food list. So, don’t be boring – spice up your next lamb chop meal with this delicious marinade that’s suitable for the grill or the braai.
It’s simply a matter of mixing it all together and allowing the lamb chops to soak up all the flavour. You can substitute the oregano for rosemary – it’s your choice.
- 1 Tsp Sunshine D Original Margarine
- ½ tsp lemon zest
- 2 Tsp lemon juice
- 2 Tsp fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 Tsp garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 8 lamb chops (trimmed of fat)
Melt the margarine over a low heat and add all the dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a sealable container and add the lamb chops. Seal the container and allow to marinate for 1 hour. Grill or braai the chop for about 4 minutes per side (medium rare).
Try changing out the Sunshine D Original Margarine for Sunshine D Lite Fat Spread if you feel like something a little lighter.
