This is probably the easiest mashed potato recipe you will ever find. It practically cooks itself.
Keep it simple when it comes to mashed potatoes. That’s because this traditional side dish works so well with a host of savoury meals, like stew, sausages or potjie.
If you do want to make your mashed potatoes a little fancier, you could add a dash of cream for extra rich creamy flavour.
- 1.3kg of potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 6 Tsp Sunshine D Original Margarine
- ¼ milk
- ¼ tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
Add the potatoes to a pot pour in enough cold water to cover them all. Bring to boil on a high heat. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Beat the potatoes with the remaining ingredients using a potato masher until smooth and creamy.
Try changing out the Sunshine D Original Margarine for Sunshine D Lite Fat Spread if you feel like something a little lighter.
